Creek Connections

Ever wondered what distinguishes a healthy stream from a troubled one? What critters live in a creek and around it? And how you get students away from screens and classrooms and into the outdoors? How to get students excited about learning? "Creek Connections" answers these questions
with an educational partnership that has been going strong since 1995. Today, it brings together more than 40 K-12 schools from the region with Allegheny College in a yearlong. Students
measure water quality, learn about aquatic macroinvertebrates, and most importantly, see the waterways in their own backyards in a new light. Additionally, area educators may borrow loaner kits on 16 different topics ranging from freshwater fish to drinking water. Click here to learn more about this free program.
