Since the farm's founding in 2016, the mission has been to improve the surrounding communities' access to fresh produce. Moreover, owner Garrett Gleeson wants to promote biodiversity and build soil. He sees access to fresh local produce as a contribution to public health and does not use herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers on his crops. Among the produce are garlic, mushrooms, winter squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips, and potatoes as well as fruits including blueberries, strawberries, and apples. Are you hungry yet? You can buy Fat Hawk Farm produce virtually at Core Goods or at the Edinboro Market and the Meadville Market House.
