Tamarack Wildlife Center

Tamarack Wildlife Center is dedicated to two main missions: helping injured wildlife and educating our local community about the animals that live, forage, and raise their families right in front of our doorsteps. If you want to learn more about, among other animals, birds, rabbits, and opossums, or want to invite one of the feathered and furry ambassadors for a program, Saegertown is just a short 15 minutes away from Meadville.

Executive director Carol Holmgren beams when describing how animals enrich our human lives, whether we consider ourselves conservationists, hunters, or simply fellow creatures. Allowing our community to forge emotional connections with the animals of our region is key to Carol. As far as the rehab side of Tamarack’s mission is concerned, the center is known for its high-quality diagnostic services, which include an X-ray machine and ophthalmic examination tools. Wildlife-loving donors and volunteers who want to give time, material donations, or funds are also welcome! Find out more by exploring Tamarack’s website, calling (814) 763-2574, or scheduling a tour of the center at 21601 Stull Rd, Saegertown, PA 16433. Upcoming public programs are also announced on the website.
