The Meadville Market House

Pennsylvania's oldest Market structure in continuous use, the Meadville Market House is more than an architectural hallmark of our city. Built in 1870 as an indoor farmers' markets, it has served in this function for more than 150 years. It is open year-round and features an outdoor farmers' market on Saturdays between the months of May and October. The fresh and healthy motto continues inside with over 70 local and regional vendors of milk, dairy, eggs, bread, produce, meats, coffee and teas, dry goods, jams and preserves, honey, maple syrup, as well as select artisan crafts. The Market House prioritizes sourcing as locally as possible which includes Meadville's very own cooking and baking talent. Satisfy your sweet cravings at the bakery Save Room for Desert, or even savor a full meal at Zest Kitchen and Pantry (available for catering and personal chef services) or the restaurant Kettle Lake Kitchen. The Market House's artist-in-residence is Nancy's Under the Steps. More art can be found upstairs at the Meadville Council on the Arts
